AI-Powered Accessibility
Past event
Today's AI models and tools are becoming ever more multi-modal. Time to reconsider whether we could put them to more meaningful use. Accessibility ("a11y") in particular holds enormous — and still partly untapped — potential here. The Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) and the accessibility personas published by the British and German governments show how relevant and urgent it is to approach the topic with human-centred methods.
The tutorial explains the theoretical background and the legal framework around accessibility and its absence, and then uses interactive exercises to show how AI persona agents can be used to reach accessibility goals effectively.
