IoTAssist

IoTAssist – Development of an end-user platform for assistance services with interoperable IoT devices and wearable sensor technology
The three-year research project IoTAssist aims to develop a platform that enables the linking of devices and services in the IoT and wearable domain. Connected devices can be combined into intelligent assistance systems on a modular principle. The project is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
Centigrade supports the research project with user-centered approaches and its long-standing know-how in gamification concepts.

MightyU – A mobile, gamified therapy solution for children and adolescents with infantile cerebral palsy.
MightyU is a three-year research project with the aim of developing a growing and motivational game to support the training of children and adolescents with infantile cerebral palsy. The project is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research under the programme »Kleine Patienten, großer Bedarf – Medizintechnische Lösungen für eine kindgerechte Gesundheitsversorgung«. Walkolution sells mechanical treadmills without a motor, powered only by the users own muscle power. For their innovative treadmill desk, Centigrade developed an interactive game to encourage more exercise. Thanks to a setup consisting of a beamer, camera and microcontroller, graphics can be projected onto the treadmill, with which users can interact and push themselves to move more or faster. The application can be used not only in a work context, but also for therapy purposes in rehabilitation situations, for example.
