Game Thinking at the Product Management Festival 2019

Conference Gamification

On November 13 and 14, experts from the entire product management community gathered at the Product Management Festival Europe in Zurich. High-profile speakers from companies with globally successful products such as Google, Microsoft, SAP, Instagram, and Twitter presented their best practices, experiences, and success stories. Roman Rackwitz, Enterprise Gaming Pioneer at Centigrade, also shared his expertise in UX and gamification in the context of agile product management at the event. His talk, “Game Thinking: How to Let a Product Grow and Form an Emotional Link with its Users”, attracted strong interest from the audience.

Game Thinking for sustainable customer retention

To keep a successful product on the market in the long term, more is needed today than simply fulfilling a static customer need, due to rapid technological development and innovation. Customers and their expectations continue to evolve, so the product must also evolve to ensure sustainable customer loyalty. Roman Rackwitz sees one way to achieve this in the consistent use of Game Thinking and an Enterprise Gaming methodology throughout the product lifecycle.

“With the help of gamified journeys that orient themselves to the growing abilities of users, products evolve together with their users. Software and processes adapt to the user and not vice versa. Just like in games.”

To map these journeys dynamically, Lean Scope is well suited as a tool for the structured development of personas and the recording of different target groups and their needs. Learn more about LeanScope here: visit the LeanScope website.
