Between The Towers 2019 – Cross Reality (XR) Event

On November 5, another edition of Between the Towers took place in Frankfurt am Main, an event series focused on the financial services of the future and the contribution technology can make to them. This time, bankers, investors, tech startups, IT professionals, and media representatives came together to exchange views on the current topic of Cross Reality (XR). XR has the potential to significantly transform numerous industries. In addition to typical consumer sectors such as gaming and entertainment, retail and e-commerce, or tourism, industry, production, and education as well as knowledge transfer could also benefit from XR.

Diverse uses of Cross Reality

To demonstrate the diversity of XR technologies, various speakers enriched the event with their presentations. The keynote was delivered by Thomas Immich, Managing Director & Head of UX Services, and Roman Rackwitz, Enterprise Gaming Pioneer at Centigrade. They presented different ways of making XR accessible to users across various platforms and also explained the pain points that need to be taken into account.
